Verdify – Masters in Recipe Personalization

Verdify (https://www.verdify.tech/) is a start-up from Wageningen which focuses on making it easier for consumers to live healthy by personalizing food recipes to their individual needs. Verdify was established in 2018 and launched the Verdify 1.0 solution (i.e., an App available in the appstores) at the end of 2019. This App is now being used by 1,000+ users and is also being used in the CRODODILE study from Wageningen University.

In its short life, Verdify has already been nominated for:
• One of four “Next Heroes in Foodtech 2020” by F&A Next, in cooperation with Foodbytes and Rabobank.
• One of the top 10 finalists in the Nutrition category of the Blue Tulip Awards 2020 by Accenture.

Verdify works together with Genzai, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) software & investment company, which is based on the Brightlands Greenport Campus in Venlo, on creating Verdify 2.0. Verdify 2.0 is based on the automatic personalization of food recipes through AI algorithms instead of manual rules and allows Verdify to scale-up its activities globally. Genzai has expertise in building the Artificial Intelligence (AI) & ICT that enables the Verdify 2.0 vision.
